Music can help children to develop their language, communication and literacy skills. Starting them early will help them to gain confidence and enjoy learning to read and write.
The new Rainbow Phonics sessions at the Old Library is a group using rhyming, sound play and music to learn about letters and the sounds they make, as well as learning to form them correctly.
All of the songs and games are fun and interactive, and wwill help you as a parent to understand phonics and feel confident to help your child with reading, writing and spelling at home.
Suitable for 3-4 year olds, Emily Sheahan-Jones has been a primary school teacher for over 10 years, specialising in music and early years. This course runs for 12 weeks and costs £80 for the full course.
