The Old Library Repair Cafe

Every second Saturday of the month, 10.30 – 12, during the café opening hours.

We have some fantastic volunteers to help fix small electrical items, textiles and more. No need to book, just drop in on the day.

We are always happy to welcome new repair volunteers to our team. If you would like to get involved, please email kat.corbett@uwe.ac.uk beforehand, so she can add you to the repairers group, and make sure there is a work station set up for you on the day!

No repair skills, but would like to support nonetheless? We’d still love to hear from you, as we also need people to help with the general organising and running the café alongside.

This is a free service, donations to help build our accessible toilet are welcome, but there is absolutely no obligation or pressure to donate! We all understand that there are many challenges around the cost of living right now, and one of our key objectives is to help people’s budgets go a little bit further!

Please also note that this is a voluntary repair service: all repairs are done at your discretion and there is no guarantee that your item will be fixed. We haven’t currently got the capacity to fix mobile phones or white goods. Parking is limited, so we recommend using alternative transport options.
