Recruiting More Directors to Take Us Forwards!

Exciting opportunity to get involved and make a difference in an amazing community project!

South Lockleaze and Purdown Neighbourhood Group CIC is looking to recruit 4 more Directors to our board.

The group is a registered community interest company (CIC) with currently 3 Directors.
Running The old Library Eastville is one of the main areas of activity of the group.

The CIC took over running of the building formally known as Eastville Library in May 2016. We run it as a community space, for hire, as a community cafe, and put on events for the local community. We have a formal lease of the Old Library building from Bristol City Council.

The project has been a tremendous success, and as the group evolves and matures we have taken the decision to expand the board of directors. The current board consists of the 3 founding Directors.

Our motivation for increasing this to 7 is to provide greater support and stronger direction for the group as it matures and evolves. We want to recruit a diverse board with experience and energy which will help carry the group forward in the next stage of its evolution.

There are exciting plans in place for an external children’s play area (funding secured) and some redevelopment of the building to provide essential accessible toilet facilities.

The group now provides vital support to the local community.

The current directors are inviting expressions of interest from people who would be interested in becoming directors of this group.

There will be a formal recruitment process.

There is no remuneration attached to this role.

Please e mail davidwalwin@hotmail.co.uk in the first instance (by Sunday 4th February)  with expressions of interest in this role. There is no specific requirement to be a local  resident to fulfil this role.

Many thanks!
