Wild Foods & Plants of Purdown: Find out what Lies on the Old Library Doorstep!

Date(s) - 20/05/2018
10:30 am - 2:00 pm

A fascinating exploration of the beautiful South Purdown, Sir Johns Lane and Purdown Ridge in the South Lockleaze/Eastville neighbourhood, learning, identifying, foraging and sampling the array of edible foods available within and around our beautiful greenspace.

Starting and finishing at the Old Library, the walk will set off at 10:30 and return to the Old Library at approx. 1pm, then we will then make a meal in the Old Library garden with all the goodies we find, and get the kettle on for everyone involved!

Led by award-winning horticulturalist & conservationist, Steve England, this fun and informative workshop is a rare chance to discover what lies on the doorstep of the Old Library, see the edible foods and learn about the practical plants in the neighbourhood, and the importance of conservation for our future Purdown adventures.

Booking essential and very limited places for this one-off private course.

£25 + Booking Fee (added by Eventbrite). £5 of this ticket will be donated towards the South Lockleaze & Purdown Neighbourhood Group fund for future activities in the neighbourhood and the Old Library project.
