The Old Library Film Club!
The Old Library Film Club is a fantastic new way to catch great movies in a unique setting of the Old Library, Eastville! Bring your own drinks, snacks, cushion (chairs are available!) and friends and settle back and enjoy our varied selection of films.
The club will run on the final Friday of the month. In the Autumn that will be September 29th, October 27th, and November 24th; Doors will open at 7pm and we will start the movie at 7.45pm. Our debut theme is 1970’s conspiracy thrillers, with the 29th September showing of “Capricorn One”. There will be no cover charge, but any donations to support the Old Library will be gratefully accepted!
The Old Library Quiz Nights are Back!
The Old Library is restarting it’s quiz nights, which will now be held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Fancy yourself as a whizz on world landmarks? Got a neighbour who’s knowledgeable on nature? Mum know much about musicians? Have expertise in electricity, or familiar with famous faces?! Starting on Tuesday 17th October and hosted by Emily, bring your team along to compete against your neighbours and let’s get quizzical to see if you really have the brains of the neighbourhood!
Doors open at 7pm, quiz starts at 7:30pm. Teams of up to 6 allowed, either come as a pre-prepared team or join up with others on the night! It’s just £2 per person to enter, and you can bring along your own drinks & food to keep you going into the evening!
New Wednesday Morning Singing and Story Time. Come and join in the fun reading stories and singing songs, for 0-5 year olds and parents, every Wednesday morning!
ACT UP! New Drama Classes for 6-8 year Olds
ACT UP is a new, fun-filled drama class for 6-8 year old’s starting Monday 2nd October 4.45pm – 5.45pm at The Old Eastville Library, Bristol. Sessions will include a mix of energetic drama games, exercises to build drama skills and exploration of exciting themes to ignite imaginations! Sessions are run by a qualified primary teacher with enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid certificate.
The sessions cost just £5 per child per session. A 12 week term will run until the Christmas holidays (with a break for half-term on Monday 22nd October). 1 FREE session per child per term.
