Following a successful round of director recruitment we are keen to continue to expand the expertise of our board and are currently recruiting for two additional roles.  We would like to recruit people who live locally to the Old Library or who live in the surrounding area and who share our vision and values which are: Earth Care, Fair Share and People Care.

Board Treasurer

We are looking for someone with previous experience of similar roles, either voluntary or professional, to oversee the finances of the Old Library.  Working with the Chair of the board, this post will manage the OL budgets and provide regular updates to the board including annual financial reviews.  This role will also manage the bank account, book keeping and invoices and ensure appropriate financial systems are in place.  Many of these systems have been reviewed in the previous year and are now well established however we would like these to be kept under review.

Communications Lead:  Associate Director.

Associate roles at the Old Library are similar to director roles but have a more specific focus and hold less responsibilities.  These roles are perfect for those who would like to learn about director roles or for those whose available time is more limited.  Associate roles are linked with an appropriate director role and can attend board meetings depending on capacity or relevance.  We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the development of our communications plan, build a small team of community volunteers to manage our social media and maintain our website.  We are also keen to develop a range of communication tools which reach broader sections of the communities, particularly those who don’t use online media and demographic groups from the local community who don’t currently use the Old Library.Closing Date: Monday, 8 February, 2021 – 18:45How to Apply:
